Shinko Wire Company, Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of wires. The Company operates in three business segments. The Wire Products-related segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of personal computer (PC)-related products, which include steel wires, stranded steel wires and processed cable products; springs and specialty wires, which include steel wires for springs, plated steel wires, stainless steel wires and specialty metallic wires, as well as wire ropes, which include general ropes, specialty ropes, stainless ropes and stranded steel wires. The Engineering segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of materials and machinery for installation- and tension-uses, as well as tertiary processed wire products, among others. The Real Estate segment is involved in the leasing of real estate properties. As of March 31, 2010, the Company had nine subsidiaries, one associated company and one affiliated company
